HIKING IN GREECE
Hallo my friends! My name is Adamant and I am a hiker man who invites you to the beauties of Greek mountains. Deep in the forest are awaiting for you tens of beautiful well known paths and forest roads, hundreds of slightly known well traced or not paths, which some of them are still in use after thousands of years, while others leads to ancient castles, Byzantine chapels and abandoned monasteries that have become one with nature or even to splendid remote sea golfs where you can swim and relax after your hiking effort.
Furthermore, Greece is a mountainous country-with more than 200 peaks over 1.000 m altitude but it is also surrounded by the sea and that’s the reason which is considered one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
So, this is it! We can combine the splendid mountainous landscape with exits to wonderful idyllic sea sides and have a bath in the Aegean or even Ionian Sea.
Our walks or hiking tours can be short (inside and around the prefecture of Athens-which you can combine with a visit to the capital and the Acropolis) or even longer(in other regions of the country).
The capital of Greece is surrounded by four mountains. Ymitos, Parnitha, Penteli and Egaleo mountains. The first three have more tham 1000m altitude. In the same prefecture we can also meet mount Pateras and Pastra to the west and Gerania to the south west. Parnitha which is located at the north side of the prefecture of Attica extends up to the border of the prefecture of Viotia and it is the longest (32 km)
and the tallest (1413meters tall). In the mountains of the prefecture of Athens you can find more than 150 paths and forest roads, 50 ancient and new monasteries, ancient monuments enchanting pine and fir forests with hundreds of other trees and plants like oaks common junipers, poplars, black pine, myrtles, walnut trees, arbutuses, mint, chamomile, sage, oregano, thyme e.t.c.
The most appropriate season for hiking is spring and autumn.
NOTE: I do not accept to collaborate with people intended to commit forgery with our ancient monumental inheritance.
Thank you,
Adamant
P.S. I also speak Romanian, a little bit of French, Italian and Spanish. I have also a PHD in Comparative Literature and Civilization
